With the interviews coming up this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, of which many of you are probably very nervous for since it is an enormous part of your application process and perhaps your ticket to DECA Xavier.

As such, I have decided to give you guys a few tips on how to rock your interview:

1. Be Calm and Reserved

The worst thing that can impact your interview are your jittery nerves. Perform deep breathing exercises and avoid showing signs of nervousness like fidgeting, talking too fast, bouncing your legs, and etc. Stay reserved and stay professional.

2. Be Yourself and Not Scripted

We can tell very easily if your answer is scripted and tailored to sell yourself excessively. There is not an answer that we as interviewers want to hear, we just want to get a better understanding of you as an individual. It is better for you to just dump your scripted answers and answer the questions as honestly as possible. Show us YOU!

3. Professionalism!

A smile, a firm handshake, an amazing personality while maintaining professional will drive you to success for sure!

4. Come early and Come Prepared!

Be earlier than your allotted time as some people may end their interviews earlier or not show up at all. Come dressed well, don't look sloppy since impressions make a big part of our decision making process.

With that, I hope you guys feel less stressed about the upcoming interviews! You guys will rock it for sure!

Kind Regards,

Terry Kuang - Chapter President.
